Fundraisers | Applebees Flapjack BreakfastAll you have to do for this fundraiser is to help sell the tickets (cheap) and show up for your pancakes. The rowers do most of the work. They are our greeters, waiters, and bus boys and girls. We could use someone to oversee the whole thing too, but Applebees has it well organized, so this is a good fundraiser to take on if you don't want to do a lot of work. Wreath and Poinsettia SaleWe offer evergreen wreaths in two sizes and poinsettia plants in three colors. Orders are taken in October and early November. The wreaths and poinsettias arrive about December 1st. The best way to help is to sell to your friends, family, and coworkers. It's an easy sell because these are high quality items for the price. On the Saturday that the plants and wreaths arrive at WSRC, we need people to unload the trucks, sort and distribute the orders, and help people carry plants to their cars. If you would like to organize this puppy (or be an assistant), you get a boat named in your honor (just kidding). Mid-Winter FeastIf you are lucky, you'll get the job of tasting a hundred bottles of wine to pick which one to offer at the feast. But there are non-alcoholic options too. You could check out restaurants, design invitations, develop the invitation list, address the invitations, or take reservations and collect money, Most of all, you can invite your family and friends to attend and make sure they buy their tickets. We promise a good time for all. Do you have better ideas for fundraisers? Great! Contact Meg Lauerman (meglaurerman@msn.com). |
