Fundraisers keep costs down for our rowers and their families

Fundraisers are held each year to help defray the high cost of maintaining a team. Proceeds go into the general fund to reduce the cost of crew for rowers.

Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser

City Honors Crew raised $1425.90 at our Applebee's pancake breakfast on Sunday, September 28, 2008.  Applebee's cook made the pancakes, our rowers were the wait staff, and parents helped in the kitchen.  We served at least 195 plates of pancakes. Thanks to everyone who came out to help and to eat. Our next pancake breakfast will be on Sunday, September 27, 2009.

Wreath and Poinsettia Sale

City Honors Crew annual wreath and poinsettia sale has finished for 2008. We made $1901. Thank you to Laura Pershyn for organizing this year's sale. Twenty-eight team members participated by selling wreaths in two sizes and 6" red poinsettias to their friends, coworkers, and family.

FEAST!

Our second FEAST! was on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Russell's Steaks, Chops, and More in Williamsville. Proceeds from the FEAST! will underwrite the many expenses of our rowing team. Thanks to Russ Salvatore for his generosity!

Our first FEAST! was in February 2008 at Trattoria Aroma. We had a superb dinner and a wonderful, friendly time. More than 65 people attended--it was a great success.
