Estimated Expenses
|
![]() This is a rough estimate of expenses for a year of CHS crew. Costs for varsity rowers will vary, because not all rowers go to every regatta and because travel expenses vary depending on how far away a regatta is and how many nights the rowers must stay in a hotel. If you need help with ANY expenses, please contact the club treasurer (Paul and Kathy Cieslik: pcieslik@lglaw.com) and arrangements will be made. No student who wants to row for City Honors will be turned away because of money.
West Side Dues StructureIn 2009, WSRC adopted seasonal dues for two reasons: 1) Dues will be more in line with actual costs. Even with the dues increase, WSRC is still charging less than every other junior program in the state. 2) Use of the club differs for each athlete. For example, graduating seniors will no longer have to pay full yearly dues when they participate only in the spring season. 2009 West Side Dues are: Spring - (March 1- June 15) - $350 Summer - $200 Fall - $200 Winter - $100* * Winter dues are not yet finalized. Dues should be paid at www.RegattaCentral.com. WSRC retains its long standing policy of financial aid for those who need it. The financial aid application can be submitted to William Covelli, the financial secretary. Travel and hotel arrangements for travel regattas are made by the team's steering committee Winter ExpensesRowers participating in winter training: West Side winter dues: $100; yoga or weight training classes: varies; 1 or 2 ergattas*: $10 to $20 per event * Ergattas are indoor races on ergometers (rowing machines).
