City Honors Crew is a club sport; expenses are paid by rowers and their families

Summary of Crew Expenses

The 2010 Dues amounts will remain the same: $350 for spring, $200 for summer, $200 for Fall, $100 for winter.

Spring Dues are due by March 15, 2010.

Regatta Central will be the sole source of Dues collection this spring.  All athletes must register and pay on-line with a credit card.

Hardship process will remain the same as the fall: Any parent or family requesting a hardship must e-mail Matt Logue (mplogue@wsrc.org) to request a form.  All hardship requests are due by March 1, 2010; as in the past, all hardship requests are kept confidential.

Full refunds will be given out to any athlete who no longer participates up until April 1, 2010.  Refunds of 50% will be given out until April 22, 2010.  No refunds will be given after April 22, 2010.

In an effort to increase the efficiency of dues collection and on-line registration, we will be asking for the e-mail addresses of the heads of the Parent groups so that we can have a direct line of communication to send out reminder notices as well as direct registration links for each program.


Several types of expenses are associated with crew.

First, each rower must pay dues to both the West Side Rowing Club and the City Honors Crew team. 

     1) West Side Rowing Club Dues. This money pays for an individual membership to WSRC. West Side has gone to a seasonal dues structure. See the Estimated Expenses page for details.

     2) City Honors Crew Dues. This money pays for team dues to US Rowing and West Side,  insurance, equipment, and boat repairs. This annual fee is due in September.

Second, each rower must pay regatta costs: entry fees plus travel costs, hotel accommodations, and food for away regattas.

In addition, rowers must buy a unitard and other crew clothing, and frequent practices require additional athletic wear.

Every effort is made to keep expenses to a minimum, but costs can add up quickly. If you need help with ANY expenses, please contact the Head Coach or Treasurer and arrangements will be made. No student who wants to row for City Honors will be turned away.
